Most of our children are in Math Honors classes at their regular schools and have
A-s in Math. They come to our school for additional challenge.
A lot of children who came to us without particular math achievements become
A-students and eligible for Honors classes in their schools within a year.
We are proud of our students math achievements:
In 2001 we for the first time participated in AMC 8 and AMC 10. Out of 74 participating students from 4th to 8th grade. Six students received the Certificates of Merit ( these certificates are given to approx. 2% of the best 6th graders or younger students. Eight students received the Honor Roll Certificates ( they are awarded to the approx. top 2% of all participants). The names of these students were printed in AMC 8 Summary of Results and Awards.
One 10th grader, who participated in 2002 AMC 10,
received a Certificate of Distinction and invitation to participate in
AIME examination
In Fall, 2002 out of 70 participating students from 4th to 8th grade three students received the Certificates of Merit and five students received the Honor Roll Certificates
In February 2003 9 students from 6th to 8th grade participated in AMC 10.
Two students received the Certificate of Achievement -- the certificate for students of 8th grade and below who received a high score. We are especially proud by the fact that this competition is intended for 10th graders, but our 6th-8th graders were able to successfully participate in it.
Among those who participated in the Olympiad, more than 35,000 students received the scores higher than 16 points. About 600 students received scores above 29 points and were awarded with diplomas. 10 of them are from SchoolPlus. One student won the second place and nine students won the third place.
