We use “Adventures of Lena and Misha” text which could be described as a book of games. Those games help children learn the basics of Russian grammar and spelling, show them how to recognize familiar words and sentences when they are not spoken but written, expand their vocabulary.
While playing, the child aquire writing skills, learn Russian nouns and pronouns cases, Russian verb system and rather sofisticated and peculiar verbs of motion.
The course is organized around thematic clusters:
Home and Family,
People occupations,
Appearance and Character,
Clothing and Food
Toys, books, cartoons etc.
