I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher, because my mother is a teacher, and I grew up in this environment. Seeing my mother being so passionate, and watching love and respect from students, I've realized that this is exactly what I desire to do after graduating from WPU.

Now my dream is coming true: I am working in Paterson Public School with over 6 years experience as a teacher at All Bright Center in Fair Lawn NJ. Throughout the course of my career, I have had an opportunity to work with ESL students. I speak fluently in two languages, English and Russian, and understand some Spanish. I have become proficient at designing creative lesson plans, which helped me to keep students interested and focused.

I am confident in my ability to provide all students with an excellent education. I have a strong passion for teaching, help children to grow up as responsible, well educated and successful individuals. My greatest strengths include inspiring and motivating students. I engage children's minds by incorporating a variety of enjoyable activities, and cooperative learning projects.

Having two children of my own, I understand how important it is to know several languages. It's very important to keep mother tongue alive in the family, because it is a perfect way to connect children to their own family background. My goals for this school year are to teach children how to read and write in Russian, understand the beauty of the language. Engaging children into reading and discussing masterpieces of classical Russian literature appropriate for their age and Russian language level may require individual approach to each student and creativity from the teacher.
