For many years I taught programming for software engineers at training courses at the Odessa House of Engineering, Regional Scientific and Technical Societies, combining this work with the main work of Head of scientific sector of programming for Chernomorniiproekt. It was possible to observe and understand how much programming attracts professionals and enthusiasts in the creative process.

On the other hand, I have seen the difficulties experienced by those, who know the programming language and technology, but have gaps in simple and at the same time important knowledge of bases of information processes.

During the 4 years before moving to the United States, I had the opportunity to teach computer science at the high school by program, which I offered. It was an interesting and successful experience. Now computers are everywhere, and their power can solve almost any information problem. Programming has long ceased to be some kind of mystery, and a specialty of the programmer is in great demand and is attractive. These are the conditions in which to instill a love of computer science in students, to teach formulate and solve information problems - an important and interesting work.
