Robert Capriles
; English, 7

Rob's professional background includes 17 years of teaching: English/ESL, Social Studies, SAT/ACT and TOEFL Preparation courses in public and private schools and universities throughout the United States and Asia. His philosophy of education is that all erudite pursuits are forms of human expression and thus languages; as we all have ideas and unique expressions to contribute, it is the role of the educator to expose a student to as many possible types of expression as possible. He employs a variety of mediums both modern and classical to encourage exploration, collaboration and experimentation among students in his classes.

Rob has a long-standing love of literature and is ever eager to pass that enjoyment on to students. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology. His vast and varied experience in teaching helps him to be able to relate and reach a wide variety of students.

Along with academic goals Robert attends to practical needs, aiding students in their pursuit of increased scores in standardized tests such as the PARCC. His experience in standardized test preparation as tutor, writer and proctor of tests such as the SAT, ACT, TOEFL and IGCSE gives his students access to a holistic view of such testing.
