What color is childhood? There is a bright splash of expressive, unforgettable strokes. A relentless desire to explore everything around us. Our task is to preserve this wonderful, fragile world while devoting our knowledge and generosity.

With over two decades of teaching experience in the United States and Ukraine, I use traditional and creative methods to nurture students’ interest and proficiency in the Russian language. To enrich this experience, I complement language exercises with exploration of classical and contemporary Russian literature.

My goal is to foster a stimulating and fruitful environment where students are motivated to explore the beauty of the Russian language, yet disciplined to master its complexity. I engage students in a variety of oral, written, and reading activities to expand their active and passive vocabulary sets, hone pronunciation, develop grammar skills and a broad knowledge of the language’s structure. Having worked with different age groups and learning levels, I have further used educational games to practice vocabulary and critical analysis. I believe a creative and friendly atmosphere is a key to success.

I have a Master’s Degree in Linguistics, English, with a minor in German from the Nizhnij Novgorod Institute of Foreign Languages, and Russian is my native language. My other interests include visiting museums, traveling, and reading.
