My name is Matthew Binshtok, I am a senior at Stuyvesant High School. I’ve been tutoring kids of ages ranging from 4-14 for four years. My teaching approach focuses on concentration and intensity as these are the components necessary for success through developmental stages.

Emphasis on performance is often overlooked in favor of efficiency, but neither is sacrificed in the ambitious, but realistic system I employ to achieve the standards necessary for entering the elementary school curriculum. Fun and games are used not as a reward, but instead as stimulation for students to associate learning with routine rather than struggle.

Upon completion of the class, I try to make sure that students take a sense of achievement with them as they carry on with life and education, because the finished product is useless without further utilization of the acquired skills.
