Rita Nezami
 Dr. Rita Nezami was born in Paris and lived there until the graduation from the high school. She taught French at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as at the graduate level. Teaching languages took her to many countries. She speaks seven languages, teaches English, ESL, French, Russian and Bengali.
She has 15 years of French teaching experience. Her youngest students were at the preK level and the oldest in their sixties.
Rita has a MA in Russian from Moscow State University and Ph.D. in English from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Literary translation is Rita’s main interest and she is working on her second novel, translating from French into English. She is currently teaching Writing and Rhetoric at SUNY at Stony Brook. Rita is a French national and lived in Paris for over 15 years.
Rita believes foreign language acquisition is most effective when taught at an early age and she is skilled to provide challenging and innovative activities that address the diverse interests and needs for students of different ages and levels of language.
