Born in Tbilisi, Georgia (former Soviet Union), Mr. Kekelidze started playing chess when he was seven years old, becoming an International Master by the age of 23 and International Grandmaster by the age of 25. Mr. Kekelidze is a seven times Georgian National Champion and is a winner of multiple international tournaments. Mr. Kekelidze remains an active player with a FIDE rating of over 2530. Upon arrival to the United States in 2010, Mr. Kekelidze has started working as a Chess coach. Mikheil Kekelidze has a a degree in Economics from the Georgian State University. Mr. Kekelidze speaks English, German, French, Georgian and Russian.
