Bonjour ! Je m’appelle Marleine Chiofalo. I am a French native. I received my baccalaure'at (Lettres et Arts) in French Guiana, one of 4 De'partements d’Outre-Mer (French overseas departments).

I have a Master of Arts in foreign languages (English & Portuguese) from the University of Bordeaux. During my college years, I tutored English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. I taught local groups after school and gave private classes to children age 6 to 15.

I also spent an academic year in a British private high school. That is where I really discovered the magic of teaching, working with teenagers eager to learn and speak French. My year at Repton School leaves me plenty of good memories.

Since arriving in the United States in 1999, I taught French and Spanish in different Suffolk county school districts through a private company. I have just joined School Plus and look forward to many semesters of classes de franc,ais.

It is fantastic to see people coming on Sunday to learn and I hope to communicate my love for la Langue de Molie`re to all, young and adults.
